The DIRPOLIS (Law, Politics, Development) Institute of the Sant'Anna School, together with the Centro Studi Gronchi, is organizing the conference " Giovanni Gronchi e l'attuazione della Costituzione"
The initiative, sponsored by the Comune di Pontedera and Fondazione Piaggio, with the support of Regione Toscana, is scheduled for Friday, February 24 and Saturday, February 25, between Villa Crastan and Museo Piaggio (Pontedera)
The DIRPOLIS (Law, Politics, Development) Institute of the Sant'Anna School, together with the Centro Studi Gronchi, is organizing the conference "Giovanni Gronchi e l'attuazione della Costituzione. Istituzioni, culture politiche e costruzione dell'identità repubblicana". The initiative includes two days of work, Friday, February 24 and Saturday, February 25, and is sponsored by the Comune di Pontedera and Fondazione Piaggio, with the support of the Regione Toscana.
The conference draws speakers from all over Italy to analyze from multiple points of view the figure of Pontedera native Giovanni Gronchi, President of the Republic from 1955 to 1962. Gronchi was a man and statesman of great political, civic and moral depth, and, still today, with his cultural legacy, he indicates a path to follow that is always relevant, based on institutional culture, energy, determination, integration, participation, growth, dignity of labor, and knowledge.
The event takes place in two locations: on Friday, February 24, at Villa Crastan (Pontedera), and on Saturday, February 25, at the Piaggio Museum (Pontedera).
